#9 - Skyfall (2012) What better James Bond movie could have released on Bond’s very own 50th anniversary than Skyfall? Well, a couple but certainly not the most beautiful looking Bond movie of ‘em all, that’s for sure. Yes, Skyfall indeed is the most beautiful looking Bond film ever. Courtesy of the famed cinematographer Roger Deakins, this is one of those films where I can easily say “I wish I could have that shot framed up in my apartment wall”. Daniel Craig plays a haggard and rusty out-of-touch Bond which was surprisingly emotional and powerful. The action scenes were all stellar. From the opening motorcycle chase, to the fight in Shanghai, I was thrilled throughout. Eminent Spanish actor Javier Bardem plays the lead villain, Raoul Silva, bringing his own gravitas to the rogue gallery. #10 - Thunderball (1965) The 4th James Bond movie ever made, with Sean Connery in the role of James Bond is as fun and entertaining now as it was back then. At 130 minutes, it was one of the longest Bond films of Connery era. Although, many complained about its slow pacing, I’ve always felt it was deliberate. Set in picturesque Nassau, Bahamas, the plot is exciting, all the classic Bond tropes were present and humor didn’t felt too campy or cheesy like some of the Moore era films. Thunderball also boasts of having two of the most beautiful Bond girls ever -- Domino Vitali (played by Claudine Auger ) and femme fatale Fiona Volpe (played by Luciana Paluzzi ). However the main attraction of Thunderball lay in its elaborate underwater action scenes which previously unseen or unheard of.
